One year of compulsory internship training designed to transform students into competent Siddha medical professionals through practical clinical experience and patient care.
The BSMS programme includes one year of compulsory internship training after the successful completion of academic study. During the internship period, students receive intensive practical exposure across various hospital departments including outpatient services (OP), inpatient care (IP), Siddha therapies, specialty clinics, and community healthcare programmes.
Under the supervision of experienced Siddha physicians and healthcare professionals, interns actively participate in patient diagnosis, treatment planning, therapeutic procedures, case documentation, and clinical decision-making. This structured training strengthens their practical knowledge and prepares them for independent medical practice.
The internship programme also enhances communication skills, professional ethics, leadership qualities, teamwork, and patient management abilities. Through continuous clinical exposure, students develop confidence, compassion, and the expertise required to deliver quality Siddha healthcare services to society.
